Acquisitive Students and Professionals Meet Elite International Education and Technology Providers in Cairo and Alexandria

The 11th International Convention on Higher Education and Training “ACADEMIA EGYPT 2008” took place during the period from 10 to 11 November at the InterContinental CityStars Hotel in Cairo and on 12 November at Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria under the patronage of the French and Canadian Embassies who participated with their National Pavilions that had selected universities.

Official inauguration in Cairo was honored by H.E Mr. Ferry de Kerckhove, the Ambassador of Canada, the Cultural Attaché of France, the representatives of the Minister of Higher Education and the League Of Arab States. As for Alexandria convention, it was honored by the attendance of the representative of the Governor. Official Visitors included, a host of diplomats and prominent businessmen.

The Convention included a host of Egypt's private universities such as Future University, The German University in Cairo, and a number of prominent universities from around the world, including the renowned l'Universite Paris-Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, American InterContinental University, Les Roches Swiss School of Hospitality Management, and SAE institute from Australia.

ACADEMIA EGYPT has become an annual international education hub for all students in Egypt, to access a wide range of courses, colleges and universities. It hosted more than 16,000 visitors over the 3 days including thousands of high school students.
